Once the carburetor is off the machine, place it on your bench and disassemble it, taking note of where everything goes. Now get yourself some carburetor cleaner and spray all of the components spending the most time on the small jets that tend to clog up and rob the engine of gas. 1. Roll the mower to a flat surface and turn off the fuel line. Locate the nut below the bottom of the carburetor and twist to remove. Place it in a safe spot for later reassembly
