1. Roll the mower to a flat surface and turn off the fuel line. Locate the nut below the bottom of the carburetor and twist to remove. Place it in a safe spot for later reassembly

It does sound like it needs cleaning..... BUT, the things to try first are..... take the gas cap off..... run the engine and see if it keeps running.... if it still does it... well
