Well that is a preety common situation.You will need a timing light in order to do this though.you can pick one up at any part store.First of all getting engine up to normal operating temperature.Disconnect(and plug w/ a screw or something)vacum advance. Now you want to connect your timing light to your#1 plug wire(should be driver side front most cylinder).Now aim the the timing gun fromm the drivers side down at the crank pulley.slightly rotate the distributor clockwise or counter clock to bring into correct timing.Then tighten the distributor back down
