Devils Tower was formed by igneous rock that was pushed up through the sedimentary rocks. They are not real how the process took place. Some believe it was formed by a volcano explosion

Devil's Tower is located in Wyoming. It is the far North Eastern corner of the state not far from Rapid City, South Dakota. It is a must see if you are in the area.

Devil's Tower which is located in Wyoming isn't actually a volcano. Researchers have found that it is a volcano plug. A volcano plug is the neck of what use to be a volcano.
