What is Maryland State Animal?

Answer

When most people think of Maryland's state animal they think of the state bird which is the Baltimore Oriole. However, Maryland has othe offical state animals. The state horse is the thoroughbread, the state dog is the Chesapeake Bay Retriever, the state cat is the Calico Cat, the state reptile is the Diamondback Terrapin, the statecrustacean is the Blue Crab and the state fish is the Striped Bass. All of these are the official state animals. As you can see from the list the state does not have just one state animal but one for many different categories.
