The Book of Mormon is scripture used in addition to the Holy Bible by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It is said that a young boy of 14 went into the woods and prayed for guidance finding the right church. Heavenly Father appeared to this young man, Joseph Smith, and explained to him that no religion was complete, and guided him to where the Book of Mormon lay buried. He directed Joseph to translate the Book of Mormon into modern day language and to teach the findings within to all he came into contact with.
