How Were the Slaves Treated?

Answer

During the days when trading slaves was a common market, people treated the slaves themselves as if they were their own personal property. Slaves were treated more as pets than people, often times abused and ordered to perform hard labor.

Slaves were treated worse than you can possibly imagine. They were beaten, raped, humiliated and whipped at the whim of the overseer. They were thought of as property just as the owners thought of owning a house or a dog.

Black slaves were treated as far as I'm concerned like animals. They were not allowed to be free. They were beaten, raped, hanged, and made to serve people. It is very sad for me

Slaves were treated like slaves. They were forced to work whatever chores they were assigned with little or no pay. They had no freedom and weren't allowed to make their own choices
