Why Did the Nazis Hate the Jews?

The Nazis hated the Jews for the same reasons that many groups are singled out for hatred. Usually it starts with ignorance. Also in times of crisis people look for someone to blame.

While one can not really understand such hate, the common belief is that the nazis (proclaimed to be christian) hated the jews so much because they had jesus crusified. Doesn't really explain their hatred for other races thought huh?
