Americans recognized black history as far back as 1926. It wasn't until the 20th century that blacks gained presence in history books. Thanks to Dr. Carter G. Woodson we are able to celebrate black history month. Black has contributed so much and its good to see that they are recognized for all their hard works and achievements.
