What are Ice Ages?

Answer

Ice ages are times in the Earth's history, and possibly the future, when the temperature of the surface and the atmosphere dropped dramatically. This causes extensive ice sheets in most sections of the world. Technically, we are currently in an ice age because of the ice sheets at Greenland and Antarctica.
