Ticks like to stay in the wooded areas of the Rocky Mountains, but can be found pretty much anywhere across the U.S. They like to wait for their next meal by hiding in the tall grass

The tick has an average lifespan of about a year. However, it really depends on what species it is. The tick larvae feeds on animals for about a week to up to 8 months!

Deer ticks live mainly in grassy areas. They are found in open fields and fields where the margin meets wooded area. If you find a tick on your body you will need to remove it ASAP.
