What Did Benjamin Banneker do?

Benjamin Banneker was born in 1731 and was a farmer. At 58 years old, Banneker started to study astronomy and was able to predict solar and lunar eclipses. He compiled the information tables that were published from 1792 to 1797. In 1980 the U.S. Postal Service issues a stamp to honor his achievements.
