What do Mermaids Look Like?

Mermaids are often depicted as half woman, half fish, with their lower body resembling the tail of a giant fish. They are often depicted as beautiful creatures of the sea. The tale of mermaids, it is often thought, comes from olden times, when sailors would be lonely, and often just a bit sloshed from drinking, and would see a sea cow, which thanks to their beer goggles, and the virtually unknown creatures of the sea that time, and told tales of the lusty women of the sea to their friends.
