During a seizure a person will become unconscious and jerk uncontrollably. While a person is actively seizing they will need to be protected from hurting themselves. Move any objects that they could bang in to. You may also notice that the person will make grunting noises while the seizure is in progress. Once the seizure has stopped the person will take a couple of minutes to regain consciousness. Many times they will become combative as they become more alert due to not knowing what has just happened.
