There are a couple problems with plasma televisions however they are not serious enough to consider another type television. Burn in, image burned into the screen, was a serious problem in the past but has been addressed on newer models. another issue is that they do not operate well in higher altitudes. The third problem is heat output. Many manufacturers installed fans which can become noisy over time.
