What does Fiscal Mean?

Answer

The word fiscal actually pertains to financial debts and revenue. A company's fiscal year refers to it's 12 months of business. This is different from a calender year, which runs from January 1 - December 31. If a company begins it's business on April 1, then it's fiscal year runs from April 1 - March 31. This being said, it is possible for a company's fiscal year to run from January 1 - December 31 as well, if a company begins it's business on January 1.
